Becoming a Provider: Counseling Training Program

James Place offers our students a wide-variety of clinical mental health counseling experience. We service a culturally diverse population who are navigating a plethora of clinical issues ranging from managing daily stressors to chronic mental illness. As a community-based organization, we focus on helping the under-served populations: homeless, low-income, or lacking social support. James Place is more than a resource center for our clients, but it is a place to belong.

As a Christian ministry in the community we hold to the standards and values of our faith, while at the same time faithfully adhering to the professional and ethical standards set forth by the American Counseling Association and those pertinent to the student’s area of study. If you are curious about the intersection of faith and clinical practice, James Place is a great option for you.
